Mostly the location was great, hotel was nice for the age of the building, no real complaints. Staff was friendly especially Max. I had mentioned that I used to live in Augsburg and there was a special beer I was looking to find in one the sidewalk cafe's but the cafe had closed and I couldn't find a bar that served the beer. Max overheard me talking about that and spent a good half hour looking for bars on a local map that served my "favorite" beir. Thank you Max...

A beautiful historical city, that does not feel like the large city it is. It feels very warm and friendly. We love the original German restaurants and sitting at the Rathaus Platz (City Hall Square) watching people and enjoying food and drinks.

Augsburg is a very elegant and beautiful city.
Augsburg is a very elegant and beautiful city. The streets are lined with colorful stylish buildings, most rebuilt to the original plans following one of the heaviest allied bombings in 1944. The church of St Ulrich & Afra is a marvel, as is the Golden Hall in the Rathaus. The unique water system and the Fuggerei social housing complex also make Augsburg stand out in a historical context

Beautiful, clean city, with very interesting architecture.
Beautiful, clean city, with very interesting architecture. It is worth to visit Schaezlerpalais and the house of Leopold Mozart. It is very easy to walk throught the city where you can find everything you need. There is many nice restaurants, where they offer good and tasty food or small caffes for good coffee with a great cake. Our favorite restaurant was Aposto Augsburg.

A really interesting place with beautiful architecture.. but very busy. We were really interested in the small museum upstairs in St Anna’s church about Luther. It was very informative and well put together. The hotel Jakoberhof was right opposite the Feuggeri - the oldest social housing project in the world which was fascinating. We ate once at Burger meets Falafel which was just round the corner from the hotel.

The trams provide an excellent way of getting around.
The trams provide an excellent way of getting around. The city has many interesting historical buildings. There is a great variety of restaurants and cafes serving delicious food and cakes. The people are very hospitable.
Even though the building itself is 40+ years old, it has been very well maintained. Restaurant was excellent as was the bar area. The staff was BEYOND friendly and helpful. All of them spoke fluent English which helped considerably since my German language skills are lacking. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the Augsburg area. Ohhh…did I mention that the Rathausplatz and all it has to offer is just a 15 minute walk away?
The hotel was easy to get to from the highway. There were several options for eating in the area, although options did become limited after 8 pm. The rooms were comfortable and big enough for our suitcases. It was nice to have on-site parking for our car, so we could park it and then leave it for the night. The shower was roomy and had great water pressure. The breakfast was tasty and was diverse enough to satisfy all the members of my family.
Great hotel - booked at last minute when we dint make our destination that day because of traffic problems. We were on a roadtrip across Europe in a classic car - 1968 MGC Roadster (https://linktr.ee/meandmymgc).
The place was ideal - simple but functional. The staff were great and helped us navigate our way to the city centre for beer and dinner. Overall great place to stay and would highly recomend.
Easy to find, secure parking for motorcycles with direct access to hotel, the staff without exception were brilliant, we had some pleasant chats with the staff at dinner and at breakfast, everyone we met was friendly, polite and helpful.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening, the food was fantastic, the choice for breakfast was amazing.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent location-walking distance from the town centre; convenient parking, suitable for high vehicles (with roof box); staff are very friendly and helped us with all our requests; breakfast was brilliant - typical Bavarian breakfast, high quality, fresh and tasty; room and bathroom very high class; hotel is dog friendly. Everything was exceptional, thank you very much
Perfect for traveling through Germany. If we come back, I think we will take a couple of days more to see the beautiful area. We got an absolutely amazing room at the top floor. Must have been the best room at the hotel - for no extra cost. Fair breakfast. Very serviceminded staff.
Upon arrival, a few young people came up to our room to deliver macrons and fruit. It was such a lovely surprise!! They were very welcoming and professional. Such a nice bright start to our time in Augsburg. I also LOVE the pillow menu and the smell of the soap in the room.
The hotel was literally next to the train station. The staff was exceptionally friendly & helpful. In the morning when I asked the best way to get to the old town, the directions were spot on. The room was very comfortable & I was able to spread out, repack & just relax.
Wonderful elegant hotel with very impressive management, concerned for the well-being of the guests, finding time to speak to all of them.
Will definitely return when in Bavaria. Good option for easy journey or commute to Munich.
Excellent hotel. Near to tram station.
Room was avery good size. Layout of room was superb with its ownhallway. Good breakfast. Parking on site. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Will definitely recommend this hotel.
The breakfast buffet was much better than I expected for a Hostel (and even for a hotel in that price range). Though it is a hostel, my room felt more luxerious than in many hotels I have been for work travels.
Beautiful Bavarian hotel downtown Augsburg with excellent buffet breakfast in very comfortable dining room with a friendly, efficient hostess who made us feel welcome.
