Trullo Gio, hotel in Cisternino

Trullo Gio offers accommodations in Cisternino, 26 miles from Taranto Cathedral and 27 miles from Castello Aragonese. This vacation home offers free private parking and private check-in and check-out....

I recently stayed at Trullo Gio and had a fantastic experience. The hosts Giovanna & Angelo were welcoming and attentive, even leaving a thoughtful welcome basket. The accommodation was excellent, featuring a lovely outside area perfect for relaxation. The only downside is its rural location, which requires a car to get around. Despite this, the peaceful setting makes it worth the stay. I highly recommend Trullo Gio for a relaxing getaway.

Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people.

Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people. My Italian is bad but I never had any problems being understood and everyone was very helpful. Go to a place once and they will remember you and your preferences. The food is delicious and plentiful. The town is clean and safe. One of the really nice things is you can go to the edge of town and farms and vineyards are a short walk. Have a drink or coffee in one of the cafes near the edge of town and enjoy the view.

Cisternino quite rightly is one of the most beautiful town of Italy. We so enjoyed meandering the warrens of beautiful cobbled streets surrounded by immaculate white buildings adorned with an assortment of vividly coloured flowers. The people were so friendly and food and general vibe was fantastic. A truly lovely place to stay and explore Puglia! Less touristy and packed than the neighbouring towns. We will be recommending to everyone we know .

    The town is lovely.

The town is lovely. Try to visit the weekly local farmers market (fruit, veg, olives, nuts, plants, cheese and more). There is one Monday mornings. Ask a local to direct you. There is a great bakery in town called Al Vecchio Forno on the Piazza Mazzini. This is a nice area to walk around at night and it's full of restaurants. A Pté nearby is a cute grocery to get cheese, meat etc. Please buy stuff here and support the local farmers. 😀👍 The town is very scenic, so visit anytime of day for good photo ops and views. For a good cup of coffee and the best pastries, go to a very popular spot called Almond just outside of town. It's not too difficult to find street parking here, and it has a nice outdoor seating area. Don't miss the creme filled Pasticciotto and Tette Delle Monache. Top! There's so much more to tell about Cisternino, but it's up to you to discover it yourselves 👍 Best to visit spring and autumn!

The Trullo Cime Bianche is just between Cisternino and Martina Franca. Arounded by a wonderful nature with many trulli still in fonction, two towns with an originally centre, ectraordinary olive trees on the way to the coast, with many different beaches. The region did keep a good rural feeling near to nature also the people. You find fantastic originally food. The host was extraordinary helpfull, charmimg and offering all you could find to eat in the garden. Quiet near are many cultural interesting lokations.

Lovely area for the traveller that likes access to several town and city centres with historic quarters. Cisternino itself is one of the nicest hilltop towns albeit relatively small. As a holiday location it provides easy access to many other centres, usually with a short drive. Other key locations like Matera can also be visited within a day trip.

Borgo Altobello is a little slice of heaven in the Puglian countryside. Beautifully styled accommodation with superb well designed outdoor areas for relaxing and dining. Our hosts, the owners, a family were very friendly and helpful and offered us the fruit from the trees and the herbs growing around the property. The area is fantastic with many towns, beaches and places a short drive away. We also enjoyed long walks along quiet roads directly from the property. Can't recommend highly enough.

If you want to have the authentic Trullo experience in Italy, I strongly suggest to spend at least 2/3 days at Borgo Canonica. The Trulli are recently restored with all comforts of an hotel room however still maintaining the charm of an authentic Trullo. The facilities are very nice and the restaurant is very good, thanks to Marcello (the chef) and all his staff. A big thank you also to Ilario, Manuel and Gianni which made our stay very pleasant!

Beautiful building, nice, clean room, very spacious. Nice variety for breakfast, although I only had a croissant and cappuccino, the options are many. Plenty of parking. A bit far from the center of Cisternino, but ok if you have a car. Very beautiful surroundings and views, very quiet-so much so that I would have slept until noon, had not housekeeping knocked on my door at 10:45 asking if I was alright… they probably thought I had died!😂

Very well equiped and clean Appartement and a private parking place. Paolo and his son Davide were very kind and helpfull. Location is near the nice little town of Cisternino. Only 5 minutes walking. From this place you can visit nice villages like Alberobello, Ostuni, Martina Franca, Matera, Locorotando, Polignano a mare, Monipoli, Otranto and Lecce. We also liked the Jacuzzi. In the evening you’ll have a great view from the balcony.

Casa di Alice is a modern apartment in a quiet alley (apart from an excellent meat restaurant below which can be a little noisy midday over the weekend) The apartment is tech savvy in every way. Basic amenities are provided and it is tastefully appointed. The hosts are also wonderful, helpfully, accommodating and obliging. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it’s the go to place if you’re visiting Cisternino. Highly recommend.

Borgo Altobello is such a hidden gem in the lovely countryside of Puglia. Everything is just perfect about the place. The location is great, ideal for a retreat and not far from lovely Italian villages. The property is stunning and done up with such great taste. The 'Il Trullo del Nonno a Cisternino' is a jewel, embedded in rolling hills, peaceful. The Trullo was recently renovated with care and love for detail, meeting also all comfort standards. We loved breakfast outside in the sun, surrounded by olive trees and amazing flowers. The owners are lovely people, helpful and charming. We must come back!

Our stay at Antica aia was fabulous. The facilities are spacious and the trullo room was unique and quite beautiful. Our hosts, Francesco and Elvira, were very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The location was central to our day trips to Cisternino, Locorotondo, Ustuni, the Castellana Grotte and Martina Franca.

One of the better crafted trulli homes we have stayed in so far during our time in Puglia. Comfortable beds, good water pressure in the shower and very clean. Strong wifi connection . The rental is situated down an alleyway so it is very private and quiet. It's walking distance to the historical center of town.

Location close to Cisternino and other scenic nearby towns (Locorotondo, Ostuni, Alberobello etc.) is great .... just battled with data dropping along the little back country roads and therefore losing Google Maps, and our way! But that is no fault of the establishment.
