Home of the Beautiful People
The most exclusive Costa del Sol resort, Marbella stands for beaches and beautiful people. Expensive yachts line the marinas here and in nearby Puerto Banús, where supercars outnumber saloons. It also has the best clubs, as well as designer shops and trendy fish restaurants. Look out for the celebrities that holiday here or live on the Golden Mile, home to only the fanciest villas and Marbella hotels.
Marbella beaches stretch over 16 miles, all set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains, best viewed from a boat. You might even spot a dolphin. The beaches at Puerto Banús and San Pedro Alcántara have a Blue Flag, while the most popular are Venus and La Fontanilla in the town centre. Artola Beach also has protected dunes.
Attractions in Marbella include the 10 Dalí sculptures on Avenida del Mar, and the cobbled Old Town streets lined with colourful Andalusian-style houses. Picturesque Orange Square has pavement cafes under the shade of orange trees, and nearby are remains of a Moorish castle and the 16th-century town walls.
Other well-heeled pursuits include horseracing at the Hipodromo Costa del Sol, and the area’s golf courses, including one designed by national hero Seve Ballesteros.
Malaga Airport is the nearest and Booking.com has a great range of accommodation in Marbella and the surrounding villages.

Marbella is a lovely beach town, very bustling with good food and drink options to suit every palate and budget. The golden mile is a treasure trove of beachfront experiences, and while 3 days is enough to explore the place and catch the main attractions, I'm sure I will be back just to relax and enjoy the lovely food, drink and sea! Bonus was getting a table at Skina, the two Michelin star restaurant, on the one night we were free and the restaurant was open! The Michelin guide says two stars is worth a detour... we had to just walk past 5 doors on our street!

Marbella is what it is. I am not a big fan, i live in Mallorca, and this part of Spain is not my thing, but who am i to judge. But it{s not cheap. That said, Mr Noodles down the road was very reasonable.

The location was perfect. we had stayed in that complex previously and being right on the beach was brilliant The apartment was well-equipped and very comfortable. We ate more in the old town which was great. Getting around is easy- walking or cycling is the best answer. The not so good news was communication. There was no information provided with the keys. We didn't get the password for the internet until halfway through the holiday. The agent didn't answer their phone and was very slow to respond. Most bizarrely it seems we still haven't paid! Despite card details on booking.com. The agent asked us to go to the office to pay and was not there. Said she would provide bank details and never did, I am sure there is an explanation but it is an experience we never have had before. We are still happy to pay!

We stayed very close to "Orange Square", a truly delightful area, full of small shops, eating places and history. There were many tourists visiting the area, (coach parties) which simply added to the vibe. We found the municipal market, great for fresh fish! We walked all around, there is the castle, parks, and beaches. Busses are cheap to get around. On our return we had a direct coach from the bus station (top of Marbella) to the airport for 6 Euros each!! Plenty of restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with modern appliances. Detergent and a drying rack are provided for laundry. The bedroom is comfortable with A/C and electronic shades to make the room dark. The bathroom is very clean with a great shower. The WiFi speed is very fast. I also loved the enclosed balcony area to relax. Reserved parking is about 5 minutes away. My wife wanted us to stay a week longer here.

Each room was so spacious and felt like a luxury home from home. The living quarters and kitchen were so comfy and had every amenity. The pool and the bbq area was like being In a luxury hotel. Some really nice restaurants close by but is only a short taxi to Puerto Banus or Marbella old town. Would definitely recommend for any age or group or family. We are already planning on going back next year ;)
